APPLICATION
METHOD:
The most common
method for applying AcidaFoam ™ sticks is through a conventional
lubricator system. In a water injection or disposal well,
the lubricator is normally installed on top of the tubing
so that the sticks can be dropped down the well routinely
without shutting the injection system down. AcidaFoam ™
sticks will dissolve in approximately 30 to 90 minutes depending
on water temperature, motion and salt content. The sticks
will dissolve in water less than 120°F, but at a slower
rate. Oil and gas producing wells on pumping units can be
treated using a lubricator system attached to the casing and
equipped with a by-pass bleeder arrangement to dissolve the
stick and flush the solution downhole. |

PRODUCT
DESCRIPTION:
Pro-Finer AcidaFoam
™ is a combination of acid, surfactants and
inhibitor formulated into a solid stick form. The primary
use is to remove acid soluble scale deposits such as calcium
carbonate, rust and iron sulfide from water injection/disposal
wells, thus lowering injection pressures downhole. AcidaFoam
™ sticks are available in two
sizes: 11/4"x15" and small diameter 5/8"x15".
They are effective and much less corrosive to downhole equipment
compared to liquid acids, because most of the acid is not
released from the stick until it reaches bottom. AcidaFoam
™ Solid Stick Scale Remover is
not recommended for potable water systems.
